Avalanche Course

The mountains are as humbling as they are beautiful. Understanding snow, terrain, and decision-making is what turns adventure into longevity.

My avalanche courses are designed to give you the skills and mindset to travel safely in the backcountry — whether you’re skiing, climbing, or mountaineering. With years of experience teaching avalanche awareness across Europe and Iceland, I combine hands-on field learning with real-world decision-making to build true mountain confidence.

Overview

Avalanche education is an essential step for anyone venturing off-piste or into the backcountry.
This course blends classroom learning, field exercises, and guided scenarios to help you understand snowpack, weather, terrain, and human factors.
You’ll learn to recognize warning signs, plan safe tours, and respond effectively in emergencies.

With a strong background in avalanche studies from Sweden, Switzerland, and France, and professional experience with the Icelandic Search and Rescue Team, I bring international knowledge and practical insight from real mountain environments.
I also hold the CAA Level 1 Avalanche Technician License (Canadian Avalanche Association) and have taught avalanche safety through multiple guiding and educational platforms.
